Bill is an advancement executive with proven results with over 45 years of experience in successful major gift solicitation, volunteer recruitment, and donor cultivation. Bill served in various leadership positions at the University of Cincinnati, notably leading fundraising teams that raised more than $1 billion dollars for a comprehensive campaign for the University of Cincinnati.
After being awarded the University of Cincinnati President’s Award of Excellence in 2016, Mulvihill founded The Mulvihill Advisory Group, which offered counsel in areas of advancement, vision planning, board development and leadership, and mentoring advancement staff.
In addition to his work in fundraising, he has leadership experience working with and on a variety of boards, notably on the Board of Trustees and the Volunteer National Chair of the Board of Trustees of a voluntary health organization, the Arthritis Foundation. He is on the board of the New York-based Lupus Research Alliance and an immediate past member of NIH’S National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases Council (NIAMS). Bill is also a past member of the Board of Trustees for St. Xavier High School.
